cordially invites you to a conference

Old and New, Is Current Anti-Americanism Qualitatively Different from Past?

December 11-12, 2004
CEU Auditorium (Budapest, V. Nádor u. 9.)

The first international conference within the three-year research project on political consequences of anti-Americanism is taking place in the main CEU Auditorium. The conference is organized by the Center for Policy Studies and it is open to the public.

Academics from South East Asia, from the Middle East, Europe and the United States will discuss some of the differences between anti-Americanism in the late 1960’s and early 21st century. These will be presented over two days in three separate panels.

The first panel will address the issue of ‘old ’and ‘new ’anti-Americanism in Europe; the second panel will focus on regions and countries outside of Europe, while the final panel will investigate the relationship between anti-Americanism and anti-Semitism.

Anyone interested in Interesting Times or The Age of Empire by E.H.?
Both of them are a great read (the former being a sort of autobiographic account of the 20th century), and they are £10 each - in brilliant condition certainly
