This is what we talked about in class: monosyllabic function words are unstressed (unless emphasized for some reason), if too many stresses appear on adjacent syllables, some (the middle one?) are deleted, if too many unstressed syllables appear on adjacent syllables, some are stressed.

If I have my transcription exercise completely transcribed, including the primary and secondary stress within the verbs and nouns and adjectives, how should I continue to get sentence stress?
