The problem was not with laziness but with the representation that was proposed for it. If it is #lazi#ness#, then not only lazy but also ness appears to be a free form, which it is not.

Any ideas of how to tackle this problem? (Hint: what does # show, and what does it not show?)

We discussed trisyllabic laxness, but laziness is an exception. Unfortunately, it is not a simple exception (something is wrong with it )and we don't know the reason. I am too curious ( )and interested in the answer. Thanks for your answer in advance.
