but it would be unfair anyways. (i mean, when we were first year students, we were told that the PPK studies are included in the 300 credits and the FRSz is the only plus. i just don't understand, how this can be possible)

Did you also count "Szakmódszertan"? That is 7 credits.

I just hope I won't have to pay for anything but you can't know these days...

yes.

...But I am absolutely certain that they cannot ask for money from students that did not do anything but what was required from them. We (we=angolszhék) shall do something about it if yes!

Ok, it is only 42, not 50 with an integrated thesis (a separate thesis worths 8 credits) but I won't write an integrated thesis... TKN-231 "Hátrányos helyzetű fiatalok nevelése " course is also compulsory for some years, that is the missing 2 credits, I think.

No, 2 majors are indeed 140+140=280 credits, teacher training is 50, others are 10, so that is 340 altogether. (That's what I meant by extra credits.)

I meant that one with two majors and teacher training has more than the compulsory 330 credits because of the FRSz+PE, because they are 10 credits altogether...

what do you mean by extra? They are compulsory so they cannot be extra... (normally, the above fit into the amount for which you don't have to pay).

dr. szigetva: thanks

I think that you're right though it is not at all logical. Think about it! This regulation is made to make sure that teachers teach only as much as needed - ELTE gets money for 240/300 credits per person, all the rest that students do, ELTE gives them for free. Including the failed credits (the teacher did teach that semester). That is why the idea of "UV csekk" is born. That is why eg. in Müegyetem you have to pay for all the credits you do for the second (third etc.) time. (Mind you, Müegyetem, economically, is in a much better shape than ELTE.)

I know it is logical, but it is not necessarily true...I wish it were, though...

My completion of a course depends on the answer to this question.

I am an English major student at the university level with one major and I know I need to complete 240 credits with only 10% more, but I completed much more than 10%, I just found out recently when I recounted my credits.

Do the courses that I never completed count toward the 10%? I have a course that I didn't complete last semester and now I have Shakespeare on Film III, which I won't do unless it is too late, I mean that the credits count towards the 10% regardless of receiving a grade or not.

Does this mean that the credits of the course I failed and took the next semester count twice when calculating this 'more than 10%'?

I hope not... :?
