registration week means (at seas only!) that you have to go to all your seminars to register for them (based on the prereg lists, of course), but there are no "real" classes (you won't study anything).

Or, if you can't attend one of your first seminars for some reason, it may be enough to notify (phone, email etc) the teacher concerned in due time (in advance, of course) that you do want to join their seminar. But it's always safer to be their in person, of course.

Lectures are not going to be held, but this goes only in theory, there are lots of teachers, who do have their first lecture on the reg. week (which is, by the way, illegal).
So, if you can, visit all your courses at seas. At other departments, there won't be anything, probably!

I'm wondering what they do with a credit that I took before my entrance exam (the last one...) I mean if somebody has begun a major and dropped it and then began another one, do the first major's credits count?

I heard from someone that every extra credit costs 1300 Ft. Tudásszomj? No one cares here about that. Since the university is short of money they are probably trying to make money out of everything.

Well, that's exactly it. 8)

I was also astonished when I heard it from a friend that he wouldn't be able to start a ZAN-programme with me, because he'd started already one and he's afraid of runnig out of credits...

He was not sure (does anyone know it exactly, please?) how much extra credits 'cost' but some 5000 HUF each or each 5 or don't know. (I don't want to provide misleading information anyway.)
That's just crazy, isn't it! What about such elevated notions like "tudásszomj'? :-)

I checked in Tvsz: the 240 are correct and seem to be a bare minimum, so even though only 1 major, it has to be 240 credits. But yes there's nothing about 2 major students (whether its 290 or it must be 330)...

Oh, yes, there is: they have to collect 300 credits! (+10% is free, but I don't know, what that means - I mean, do we have to pay for our 331th credit? how do they expect to do that?)

Thank you very much for your effort! I just have to make sure now. Of course the problem arises not quite frequently, for almost everyone is doing pedagogy classes, thus they are not concerned.

Up till now one TO administrator told me I have to collect 330 even though i don't do Ped. (so I have to replace with somethin' else), and another older lady told me a couple of rooms farther, that it's not needed, and 280+10 will suffice. So now what will it be?
Sorry for straining the topic with all this!
