Don't worry, you're not the only one to receive "special" treatment :), the oral part of 299 is generally known to be rather subjective and biased (as far as I gather from first and secondhand experience).

And good luck for the "fellebezés", but don't entertain great hopes; I know sy who's tried it before, and that session was recorded on video, so the panel had a chance to watch the exam again, and yet, revision was denied. Still, good luck, once more!

fortunately it wasn't my essays, they were fine, but how I was treated at the oral part was quite funny (nb. my mothertongue is English) but its a long story...

'treat it positively'

?

'treating' it is a hard verb for their deeds... As far as I know they have not even read your (or any one's) essays again.

In my (and not only personal) opinion your 'fellebezés' has no clue. As far as they are treating your essays in accordance with the meaningless and arbitrary aspects of 'appropriacy' and 'accuracy', you do not have a chance.

By the way, could anyone explain the measures of these totally SUBJECTIVE aspects?

And be sorry for the rest...

oh, sure. And while being sorry, I'm wondering when my "fellebbezés" will be examined. Just because I'm not in Hungary anymore therefore I won't be able to talk to anyone should they need further info. And hopefully they'll treat it positively...

Hi everyone... THIRD fail in 299, FOURTH, last but one attempt next term...

Am of course in need of a pair, so please contact me:

korinna@w-mobil.hu and korinnka@citromail.hu

From 28th on I'll be in the USA, so during that time the second address is more preferable.

Thank you in advance, have a nice summer!

Anna

Thanks a lot. Although naturally I DID try this version, I could not find any information. I'll check again though.

may 24th. it is on ETR under "vizsgajelentkezés" you click on ANN-299 and you'll find it.

You must turn to the department responsible for the examination (DEAL, Dorottya Hollo), she decides that (not personally, but she knows the criteria). If she says yes, you follow the usual waiver procedure, described on the SEAS FAQ page.

I have a Cambridge Proficiency exam with pass grade A, with results around 90% in all tested fields.

Is there any way I could be waived from AN299 on the basis of this other proficiency exam I have taken and passed?

THX! That is still more than nothing! :D (However, I still cannot understand, why it would mean any problem to print some statistics, especially given that the data is already in an Excel table... )

Does anyone have some statistics about the 299? I tried to count some things on the table on the notice board, but there were simply too much people there. I don't know why such things are left out...

I tried counting, too, and it seems that there were around 200 names on the list, around 40% failed, 17 got a 5, 29 got a 4...
But that was just a quick look. I would be interested in statistics, too :?
