Thanx a lot.

For me, as an AKN student, this is the only session before the UV. I registered for today (as I had no other choice), but I cannot make it. I will sit the UV. And as I have learnt, it is not only me who has this problem.

Probably Dr Magyarics did not fully comprehend the problem. I will explain him. (But isn't it a bit late? We're past the second session now.)

I told Dr Magyarics about my problem well before the list's closing date, but he directed me to the TO. At the TO I was firmly told that no way can I sit only the UV. This is what I call a catch 22.

I have no other choice but to have a '0' for today's exam, and then I will prepare for the UV. That's the way the cookie crumbles. :?

This was an error on the part of the person who advertised the exam. In their defence, it must be added that they had to do it without too much instruction of how to do things and what the consequences are of doing it this way or that. Teachers have the right to put students on exam lists after the list closing date: you must approach Dr Magyarics and explain the situation.

I'm indignant at sth that I've learnt about the exam dates of the ANN, AKN 233 US History exam.

Namely, ANN students have been offered 4 different exam dates/types to register for, unlike AKN (supplementary) students who have only a choice of 2 dates. How come?

AKN students: 1 'regular' exam (10.06.2005) and 1 UV (28.06.2005)

ANN students: 4 'regular' exams (27.05.2005, 10.06.2005 - 2 options, 28.06.2005) and 1 UV (28.06.2005)

My problem is that despite the fact that I cannot sit today's (10.06.2005) regular exam as an AKN student, I've had to register for it, otherwise it would be impossible to register for the UV. This could have been prevented by offering 2 regular exam dates and one UV.

I hope ETR will let me register for the UV despite the fact that I have not been able to go to the single one regular exam for which I've had to register anyway.

The system is still very far from perfect I must say.

I would like to ask you if you have exam papers from the previous exams... If anyone has some, please tell me, thank you.
