I don't think he's reading this forum, so you probably won't get an answer here.

Some refreshing on this: SEAS did not get the position promised several times by the dean during the spring. While we had to give up 8 positions, we eventually lost 9.

It is about 9%, but SEAS escaped the autumn massacre, when four of our colleagues were in danger.

Somewhat more than 90 full posts and five or six half-time positions (sorry for not working out the real figure). Nine contracts will not be renewed (technically speaking this means nobody is fired, expiring contracts are not renewed). SEAS will get one position back, i.e., 8 positions are lost.

So that is about 10%, isn't it? I will tell the prof. about it. Thanks a lot!

First we heard that 9 CETT teachers are going to be fired. In a newspaper article there were a total of 12 teachers, in [origo]'s article, there was 20-something. I think firing 10% of all BTK would be a bit too much, as the university cannot work with so many people fired.

Thanx a lot! Do you know how many teachers are there in seas?

In an article, I wrote that approximately 10% of BTK workers were/are fired this year (and last year). Prof. Keszei (a chemist at the Natural Sciences Department and member of the egyetemi tanács) wrote a letter to me in which he claimed that only 2.1 % were fired last year. Does anybody know the real numbers? (probably he is right in claiming that last year only 2.1% were fired, but this year it'll be much more...)
Thanx a lot!
