I have one question: Is this grant available for ex-students, too? I graduated this January at the supplementary major.

Dates (!!!): JULY 21-AUGUST 5. (!!!)

SUMMER GRANT TO JAPAN: The partner institution of the Department of English Applied Linguistics, Meisei University, is sponsoring a two-week stay in Japan, near Tokyo, for one student to teach English as member of an international student-teacher team to young Japanese participants of the Meisei Summer School Project. Dates (!!!): JULY 21-AUGUST 5. (!!!)
Program: Week One: Preparation for the program (materials development and teaching practice); Week Two: Teaching children. Meisei will pay for the flight ticket. The selected student will need to buy ticket and bring a receipt to Meisei. Meisei will refund the expense. Accommodation and meals will be provided.
REQUIREMENTS (IN ORDER OF IMPORTANCE):
- Excellent English
- Completed Methodology One Course (ANN 462)
- Good teaching skills
- Some experience in teaching English
- References (2 pieces)
- With all other things being equal, applicants with some knowledge of Japanese will be preferred.
SUBMIT YOUR LETTER OF APPLICATION, C.V. AND REFERENCES TO:
The Department of English Applied Linguistics
Room 306.
Application Deadline: 12 pm, May 25, 2007.
