I am also very much in love with the prereg system, really! :D
I would just like the other departments to catch up with SEAS and announce their courses IN TIME...
This is how, ideally, credit system should work.

I am simply in love with the seas prereg procedure (even more if I compare it to the ETR, it is awful)! I can plan my schedule, I have a chance to get in the seminars, there IS a WAITING LIST!!
My greatest problem with the other is, that I wanted to finish the "szakfordítás program" this semester, but I can't since when they posted the schedule of the courses it was way too late for me to change anything. So now I will have to pay to finish it next semester (if I have the luck to get in a course that is appropriate in time too...)
And I can't get in a PE course, since only those can get in those courses who have 2 majors. They don't care about it that there are some who don1t even NEED those courses, since they dont get credit, they have the necessary 2courses, but I don't and I failed to take it... :(

Anyway, I love seas prereg yes yes yes!!! 8)

My only problem with the preregistration (which is not the fault of SEAS) was that I always had to pick my classes before I got to know what times my other major's classes were at, not to mention psycho&peda courses and the rest. Now I know (thanks to szp's clearing it up a few terms ago) that it is actually only SEAS that complies with its duty to make course codes, times and places available for students before the term starts. Almost all departments fail to do that on time, and even if they do, they many times keep changing times. I do not know what ETR can do to change the system as ETR will probably not be able to help the laziness or the punctuality of those working at such departments.

Like most seas3 services, preregistration is likely to be handed over to the ETR. We do have some room to influence how it ideally should work there. So share your opinions here (especially if you vote for "I know how to improve it").
