Dear All,

I made a trial run of the preregistration procedure to check if everything is fine. If you had a working email address at seas3, you got a message about this. If you haven't you can check http://seas3.elte.hu/prereg_results.html

If you discover bugs, write me to szigetva@seas3.elte.hu Do not write to me about this in the Forum.

I think they were quite useful, although I can imagine how much problems there must have been due to some underqualified fellow students...  I vote for giving a try :!:

News from the Registrar: apparently we can have preregistration our way, in fact, according to my sources, the faculty may follow suit.

About the prereg lists: are they gone forever? (Or maybe it's only me not finding them :) ) I know they turned out to be misleading for some people but they were quite useful for many others.

Yes, this will probably/hopefully (ETR people just don't answer any questions from us) be so this term too. Only the dates change: 7--11 Feb.

Thank you for your answer but I still don't know what I need

"If your preregistration was accepted, you should turn up in the first
15 minutes of the first class (in the first week of the term, i.e.,
9--13 February) to register or let the teacher know that you can't
come for the first occasion but will come later, else the teacher has
the right to cancel your preregistration and offer your place to other
students. (Teachers' contact data are at seas3.elte.hu/directory.html.)"

That was in your letter in february. And what I wanted to ask is that whether this is true for the first week of the spring term or not.

Thank you (and sorry)

You mix things. Preregistration began at the end of December. The registration week (when you register as a student for the spring term) is as usual the first week of the term (7 Feb to 11 Feb). You can register for courses in the first three weeks of the term (7 Feb to 25 Feb). These things can be read in the SEAS calendar: http://seas3.elte.hu/calendar.html

I know when preregistration ends but when does the preregistration week (registration for courses) begin and end? It would be important to know.
Thank you in advance

Preregistration for spring courses has begun. The deadline is 4 February, NOON.

The process is NOT on a first-come-first-served basis: the time of preregistration does not count. For more details refer to http://seas3.elte.hu/prereg_info.html

Please note that we do not yet know whether this process is compatible with ETR!
