Pretty Freudian slip.

Also see http://seas3.elte.hu/seas/faq.html#10 and the links there.

and for the non-english courses then it is the TO that deals with the problem, isn't it? I would rather not do a course twice if not necessary :D

Well, basically Ekvivalencia csoport deals with accepting previously done courses, I mean that the final decision is mad there.
But as a first step you have to collect the signatures by teachers who deal with the given course and then you have to take your paper to the Ekvivalencia csoprt.
this means that if yo want P.E. to be accepted, you need a signature from Kelemen Endre (the head of P.E. department, BEAC -> Bogdánffy u.10.).
Philosphy and Computer Skills have to be re-done, but you don't have to enter classes only take the so-called etalon vizgsa. This also has a code that you have to put in your markbook and you also have to collect the signature of a teacher for that.
Rhetorics - if you learnt that before (ex-TFK students did), you have to find someone from a Hungarian Linguistic department but they accept previous studies.
If you want US History to be accepted, firstly you have to go to Magyarics.
british History - it's a bit tricky. I'm not sure you can survive re-doing it.
There are no more courses you can escape from :)
:D
Good luck! but be fast because next Friday is the deadline!

Apparently I misunderstood. I thought it's the non-English courses you are thinking of. Cf. http://seas3.elte.hu/seas/faq.html#10

You can try USA-töri at Magyarics. That's all with Enlish courses, as far as I know.
But you have to go to MUK földszint 44 or 45 to Ekvivalencia csoport and they give you instructions.

BUT! If you are an ex-TFK student, or you had two majors before and you studied for 4 years at college then you DON'T HAVE TO TAKE "közismereti tantárgyak", only the FRSz subjects (Rhetorics, Philosphy, Computer Skills) and P.E.!
But, P.E. can be accepted from former studies, just as Rhetorics!
:)

only the credit number counts (if I understood your question). if you are a 1 major student, 100 credits, if 2 major, none. but you can have them whenever you'd like to

oh, definately! the only thing is that you have to have the prerequisites (or chose courses that have no pereq's). you'll have the credits for it as all students of that class, so it works as any other subject. good luck!
