No, June 2006 is the last date non-credit-system students can finish their studies as non-credit-system students, irrespective of when they began.

Ok, seems like we're in the same boat...Hopefully we don't have to take PE then...

I'm also puzzled about the PE thing but most "rumors" that I heard was that non-credit students don't have to take PE....it is true that I never saw that written down anywhere either...not that would mean anything, but I'm sure Mr Szigetvári will give us an accurate answer.

The finish-my-studies thing is that you have to finish your coursework (excluding language certificates, thesis and final exam) at the given date. It is June 2006 for me as I enrolled in 2001.

I've just taken a look at the following link

http://seas3.elte.hu/seas/studies/gradu ... icate.html

which says that the prerequisites for the Final Certificate include
"physical education for 2 hours/week for two terms".

My question: does this rule also apply to non-credit-system students??? I'm just wondering because this requirement has never even appeared in the former Tanegységlista or Kurzuskínálat booklets, so I had no idea about its existence. The only thing previous booklets have written about PE was that we *may* choose one sport-related course within the compass of the compulsory 14 "közismereti tanegység" but I had no desire for such thing so...now it seems like I will not get the final certificate this year...?

Another question is: the fact that i must "finish my studies" by June 2005 (as a non-credit-system student) means that I must obtain my final certificate by that time OR that I must be done with everything, including the final exam...??? I entrolled in Sptember 2000 and this is supposed to be my last semester.

I'm a fourth year AM non-credit student currently but what if due to any kind of circumstances I fall behind in my progress and have to convert into being a credit student, would that also mean having to take the four comprehensive final exams that the currently third year AM credit students have to take?
Yes.

By the way, the link you have included in the post takes me to the login page of ETR and does not show the post with the announcement....maybe that's why I don't know the answer to the above question.
It does if you log in to ETR first. It's not why you do not know the answer, the announcement doesn't go in such detail.

Students proceeding in the old system (AN, AM, AT) not finishing their studies by 15 July 2006 will have to convert to the credit system (ANN, AMN, AFN, AKN). Source: https://to.etr.elte.hu/etrweb/hirdetesek.asp?hid=13 (ETR TO notice board)

ps: This means some fuss on the AN student's (a couple of extra courses) and the director of studies's part (some paperwork). For AM and AT students the task is more serious, so they should do everything to avoid the situation.
