You may want to offer the idea to the deputy dean of studies, Balazs Deri.

I had an interesting conversation with an IK student a few days ago. He said he can't understand why BTK doesn't hire students from their faculty for regular ETR maintenance considering that many of them are not only up to the job but also desperate for some experience.

I know for a fact that this works at the IT faculty at the Technical University. Practically the entire computer system is operated by graduate and PhD-students. They do it for free, for the sake of fun and experience and at an extremely high niveau.

Sorry for going off topic...

ETR people are of many types. Those who run the software are not concerned with the data contained therein. Those who input the data (like you have to collect 24 credits of ANN-3 courses) are looking for algorithms to let the system learn this. They are not always successful. They are not information technologists. They are people like you and me.

ETR people. Second semester that the same messages keep popping up. Makes you wonder what they (ETR people) are doing the rest of the time when the registration for courses and exams aren't on.

Does this include those courses like last semester where the system says that we can't take those courses up because we'd have enough credits anyway? Can't they understand that we need at least 24 credits at the 300 level??

Due to a scripting error in importing our courses, you cannot take a number of them in the ETR. The ETR people will have the time to correct this error only in the week-end. So if you cannot take a course in the ETR, please wait until next week.
