I don't see clearly, but I hope it depends on us whether we want to keep it. This is partly why I put up an opinion poll about the current prereg procedure.

I am afraid that the presegistration process which could work happily without time stress will be exchanged by a system threatened with collapse when hundreds of students will try to use it at the same time. :( :(

And that won't change things radically: non-SEAS students will be let register after SEAS students, which is just the case currently.

közismereti kurzus: general education course OR non-degree component
see: http://seas3.elte.hu/seas/glossary.html#K

Your friend is a victim of the university's change of admin system. Not a seas student  cannot use the pre reg system at seas3.elte.hu :( (no pre reg for seas courses in the ETR)

Your friend has no other option but wait till 09.2005 when the pre reg function of seas3 will probably be taken over by the ETR. :?

In December, we were informed that SEAS was supposed to enter all its 920 codes into ETR manually. Since the TVSz prescribes that we collect this database by the end of October and publish in mid-December, we refused to do it manually and offered to send our database to be fed en masse to the system. The answer arrived this week (took seven weeks), so currently I'm working on producing the database they need (with teachers' EHA codes, etc.). In the meanwhile I asked them to delete the spring 2004 courses that were there for SEAS. That's why there are no SEAS courses currently in ETR. But I was promised a notice there saying that they are in our Catalogue.

A friend of mine would like to apply for a course that is available as közismereti (what's the English word for that?) for non-SEAS students. But she cannot find it in ETR. I have checked myself, and no other SEAS courses supposedly available as közismereti are available in ETR either. How can people come to közismereti SEAS courses then?

Thanks if anyone knows anything.
