At 13:56, it seems to have improved for me. Although there is still no actual catalogue from which I would be able to know what exactly I have to take as a course, I can already do searches in my other major, Film Studies. You have to search in Általános.

Today is the day when we should have started the registration... I have to admit that there is no 'SZAKOS' course available on ETR. Yesterday we could hardly register for ped courses - the system was not ready to accept the vast number of student's requests. And TO promised that today all the courses will be available for us on the ETR. And surprise-surprise: they are not. This is pretty unfair to have a "mistake" like this, or if TO was unsure wether it will work, they should have put the course cataloge on their own website as they did in the previous semesters. Nobody reads the ETR forum or answers the phone at TO. So, i think no one will recognise the problem till monday. I must emphasise that we _do not know_ what courses are available this year, neither the timetable, nor the lecturers. This is not fair. What am i gonna do on monday if i don't even know what courses i want to register for???

But as far as I know, classes to take will be announced tomorrow on ETR, and I suppose that will quadruple the students using the system.

I was referring to BTK's course catalogue. Of course the SEAS one is much better with keeping the deadlines of supporting students with publishing course information early.

After about nine hours of playing with the system, I have given up. I do not know how on earth will registration happen when it starts tomorrow, when it does not work at all now.

Registration is from 16 to 25 Feb!

What I also find ridiculous is that there is no course catalogue. How does whoever devised the system expect everyone to know the exact course codes he or she needs?

I fully agree.

At least I could register for some courses...

I think this registration period will be very unfair. They should not be introducing a system that does not work.

To add to the complaints: with my 512K connection at home it takes minutes to simply enter. Hundreds of kBs download in the meanwhile. Hilarious.

A technical question, what kind of server and connection does ETR consist of? I found it quite absurd that last night at 00:30 hours the system reported "overload, try again later", which has been about the same since then (I've checked from 9am this morning, every 20 minutes). I do not understand how they expect us to even view the list of courses, let alone register for them, under such conditions.
