what I've heard from some Tatok people was that you can either write two theses or one integrated (e.g. of English Methodology).

I don't really have any idea about this stuff, but would also be happy to know. :)

At some point there was a rumour circulating that it might be possible to just write a thesis like non-teachers do, and then attach a few pages long "applications for teaching" appendix to it. But, to be honest with you, this sounds too good to be true. And I'm not entirely sure how you can do it if you happen to write your thesis in literature, for example...

One of my pedagogy teachers (Ms Edit Bodonyi) told us that we either write a comprehensive thesis (i.e. either related to applied ling. or attaching some methodological aspect to our thesis on literature or linguistics thesis paper) or write two different ones, one for the English major and another for teaching whatever (where the ladder doesn't have to be some 40 pages long, but twentysomething - as far as I'm concerned). If we do these two seperately, we have two diff. final exams (ie one at seas and another in Kazy). Writing a comprehensive thesis paper, we can merge tanári képesítő and államvizsga.

:?: First question: Are these all true?

:?: Second question: we have to make a portfolio which includes a paper of another twentysomething pages of one topic chosen by the candidate. Is it true, that as long as we go for tanári képesítő vizsga seperately we can deliberately chose between the 16 or so topics, but if we do the comprehensive stuff, the topic is chosen by our thesis paper?

:?: Third question: what else do we have to do to pass this képesítő vizsga: portfolio, exam of methodology, thesis paper, are there other requirements, too?

Thank you very much for the answers (if there is any) - TaToK cannot really say things about these issues saying that it changes every semester, but it seems like the above is the situation this semester (when I'm obviously not taking this exam).
