One of the main aims of this course is to further develop participants’ language competence so that they can be confident users of the language in a communicative classroom. The other main aim is to work on the language required for on-going professional development and for the language proficiency exam that is part of the MA programme.

By the end of the course participants will have

•gained confidence in setting up and managing various classroom activities

•become better at making English the language of communication in the classroom

•improved the presentation skills needed in the classroom

•developed a range of strategies for giving feedback to students’ oral and written work

•become more precise and expressive at describing what goes on in the classroom

•become better at understanding professional literature

requirements & assessment
Besides the normal requirements of punctuality, courtesy and participation, grades will depend on the quality of home assignments and presentations. Feedback to the tutor is not obligatory, but will be very welcome.
