This class is an American culture class for those in the teacher trainer's program at ELTE. Emphasis in the class is given for students to learn and understand the cultural and historical underpinnings of the modern United States. Required text: Kearney, Marianne et al. American Ways: An Introduction to American Culture. 4th edition, Pearson Education, 2014.
requirements & assessment
Class participation is a must, as students are going to be assessed based on their work in class (e.g.: quizzes, presentation, group work etc.) This may change upon review of the class size. Note: only 3 absences are allowed during the semester, this includes the first week of classes.
