description & set texts
description & set texts By and large, words are of two kinds: potential words, the domain of morphology, and existing words, the happy hunting ground of lexicology. This course introduces some of the tools and mechanisms of morphological analysis, and looks at how such problems get solved. English will be used in this introduction to morphology and its interfaces with other compartments of language, predominantly semantics and syntax. Course material will be available electronically.
