The course gives an indepth study of the Pre-Raphaelites, the works of the members of Brotherhood as well as those of the numerous followers. Related to Pre-Raphaelite art the cultural environment, the changes in religious attitude, the vital social concerns like work and the working classes or the position of women in the Victorian era, and last but not least the Pre-Raphaelites' deep concern with literature will be discussed in detail.
