In the course, we look at selected emotions and examine each of them in the context of British vs. American English. We rely on the following sources of information: 1. systematic differences between British and American English; 2. corpus linguistics; 3. cognitive linguistics; 4. cognitive linguistic studies of emotions; 5. accounts of crosscultural differences in emotions.
