3-credit seminar, 30 h/term; strong prereq: BBN-ANG-241
description & set texts

The topics to be dealt with in this seminar basically cover the syllabus of the BBN-ANG 261 Applied Linguistics Lecture Course. The two courses mutually support each other, therefore it is an advantage if you take the 261 lecture and the 262 seminar in the same semester. To each topic there is a set reading assigned, which will be discussed in class in order to help students get a better and deeper understanding of the particular issue.

The list of topics and readings will be available via 'Neptun'.

requirements & assessment

Students are expected to download/print a copy of the compulsory reading each week, read the assigned text and do the assigned task(s) prior to coming to class. Assessment will be based on contribution to in-class discussions 20%), completion of smaller written tasks(30%), and an end-term paper (50%).
