The aim of these seminars is to further develop students’ overall English language competence, by continuing the programme started in the previous term (ANG 102). There will be a focus on all four language skills (listening, speaking, reading, writing), as well as a focus on expressing ideas in English with accuracy and clarity. There will be regular written and oral tasks, and students will also be expected to give short, in-class presentations. Apart from working with a coursebook as core material, a range of supplementary materials will be used covering topics and issues reflecting the interests of the students.

Assessment will be based on regular attendance, active participation and test grades.
