This seminar attempts at examining the impact pop culture has on our cultural consumption patterns. The focus will mainly be centered around cinematography: filmic narratives, visual poetics, and film semiotics.
requirements & assessment
Coming prepared to class; it is required from students to read the assigned texts, watch the one movie per week, bring their questions, be active in discussions, prepare a single presentation throughout the semester, and write a 4-6 pages long essay.
