The seminar surveys major works and trends of American literature in the 20th century. This course will examine shifts in the literary forms, functions, and meanings that paved the way from modernism to postmodernism.
requirements & assessment
Coming prepared to class; it is required from students to read the assigned texts, bring their questions, be active in discussions, prepare a single presentation throughout the semester, and write a 4-6 pages long essay.
