The course offers an overview of Canada’s past and present, revealing its most essential historical events, as well as giving insight into its multiculturalism, social diversity and political and economic features. The course also deals with questions of immigration, immigration experience and some representative literary and artistic works. Discussions will be assisted by the audio-visual equipment available in the classroom.

A detailed course syllabus will be provided at the first class meeting.
