American Culture 1 will be an introductory course to several themes of American culture. We will look at the roles religion, the media, and certain parts of American history play upon and make up the roots of American culture. Students will be required to critically think about the whats and whys of American culture, and how these things relate to (or are different from) their own cultures.

Grades will be assessed based off of an oral test at the end of the semester
