The seminar is a complementary follow-up course to the American Literature 1 lecture designed to shed light on formative periods and trends of early American literature as well as to track their unfolding developments spanning to the end of the 19th century. Your presentations and close-readings will inadvertently help create a workshop-type educational experience.
requirements & assessment
Students will be required to keep up with their weekly reading assignments, raise thought-provoking questions to their peers, give a short presentation, and write a 4-6 pages long essay on a literary piece of their choice.
