This class will focus student’s work on preparation for the thesis. In light of this, emphasis is placed on argumentative and descriptive writing, as well as research methodologies, and the proper use of MLA for referencing. Classes will consist of some theory, and a lot of practice. Expect to write short assignments in virtually every class. The whole endeavor, again, is to prepare you for writing your thesis.
requirements & assessment
Students will be required to write 3 major essays during the course of the semester and shorter essays during class. Peer review skills will also be assessed.
