Language Practice 4 is designed to enhance your critical thinking skills in English, specifically U.S.English, through reading, speaking, research, and writing. This semester, it is a theme-based course that focuses on issues surrounding different decades in U.S. culture. It will be a combination of history, pop culture, television, and other sociological factors that aided in shaping the nation it is today. Reader will be compiled by the instructor and will be available for students to copy from the world wide web a Yahoo group.
requirements & assessment
Grades are based on class participation 30%, one individual oral presentation 20%, three written assignments of 4-6 pages each 30%, and a journal assignment 20%.
